Guided by the desire to share the experience and beauty of Lake Piva with others, we began offering boat trips over 20 years ago for the guests of our family-run inn, 'Zvono.' What started as a simple family idea has grown and evolved over the years. Today, in addition to boat tours, we offer various activities on the calm water of the lake, such as paddleboarding and exploring hidden corners by kayak or canoe.
Lake Piva is located in the northwest of Montenegro, at an altitude of 670 meters, near Durmitor National Park and the Tara River. It was created in 1975 with the construction of a dam on the Piva River, when the old town of Plužine was submerged and a new town was built on higher ground. With its 45 kilometers in length — from the Komarnica Canyon to the Piva hydroelectric dam — this is one of the largest artificial lakes in the region, known for having the purest drinking water in the Balkans.
Turquoise waters, dense forests, and surrounding mountains reflected in the lake make this canyon lake truly unique. Lake Piva isn’t just a destination — it’s a place to be experienced slowly. Without rush. In silence. Listening to nature.
